Bespoke Website & Web App Design, Development

About Octopod

We create tailored websites to elevate your business, enabling you to promote any services or products you offer.

Based in Sussex, Octopod Development is a family-run team dedicated to premium digital engineering. We offer complete flexibility by building bespoke websites and custom Shopify solutions from the ground up, as well as optimizing and extending existing platforms. Beyond the browser, we develop tailored apps and utilities designed to streamline your internal operations or engage your customers externally. By avoiding restrictive, one-size-fits-all software, we ensure every digital tool is fast, accessible, and built to perform.

Viktor graduated from the University of Sussex in 2017 with a Bachelor of Computer Science (BSc) and completed his Masters (MSc) in 2018, so has in depth technical knowledge. Laura graduated from the University of Reading in 2015 with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), developing a strong foundation for her meticulous review of grammar, documentation and visual details.

We understand that most businesses do not wish to spend thousands of pounds on a new website and be tied to the provider. We will provide each website at a reasonable cost and will hand over ownership of the website, along with all the supporting files on completion and subject to receiving full payment. You are able to select any hosting company, or you can opt for your website to be hosted by Octopod Hosting.

WHY US

MOBILE FIRST DESIGN

We recognise the shift towards mobile-first consumption and ensure our designs are fully responsive and optimised for mobile devices.

SPEED

To enhance user experience and retention, we prioritise fast page loading, as studies indicate that over 80% of users abandon websites that take more than 2 seconds to load.

SEO

Search Engine Optimisation is crucial for businesses looking to increase their online visibility and attract organic traffic.

SECURITY

Security is at the core of our servers and designs; at the time of handover the most recent security guidelines will be followed to minimise the risk of security breaches.

ANIMATIONS

We can utilise animations to direct customer focus to an area of your website, improving user flow as they navigate through each page.

OWNED BY YOU!

We prioritise client autonomy by advocating for self-ownership of digital assets, providing maximum flexibility. To support diverse client needs, we offer partner-facilitated hosting solutions. Options can be tailored throughout the project lifecycle, from initial consultation to post-launch support.
